McGregor
Mountain
I awoke to more than a foot of snow on this morning up in Rocky
Mountain National Park. High winds were blowing the fresh snow
off the mountaintop. The image was the Scenic Photo of the Day
at Digitalphotocontest.com
on March 13, 2003 and was a finalist at Betterphoto
for March. An additional honor is that the photo was chosen to
be in a National Parks exhibit at the Wildlife
Experience museum, a museum of wildlife and scenic art. |

Penetro,
Relief from Common Colds
Gold
Hill was a mining town, then a ghost town, then boomed again,
then deserted. Now it is filled with an eclectic mix of people.
We found this gem of an old ad in the window of one of the historic
store buildings there. It was the Photo of the Day at Imagestation
on March 11, 2003. |

Faces
in Stone
These
rock formations at the Colorado National Monument reminded me
of the Moai on Easter Island. Can you see the three faces in profile?
The image was the Scenic Photo of the Day at Bestfoto
on March 1, 2003. |

Fox

on February 11. |

Pike's
Peak From My Window
The
first thing I do each morning after rising is to look out the
window at Pike's Peak. And the last thing I do as the sun sets
is to look at this mountain. Here is how she looked one night.
The photo was a Finalist in the Betterphoto
January 2003 contest. |

Windblown
Mt. Sopris
I was driving from Glenwood Springs to Redstone when a wind blew
up on the summit of Mt. Sopris (12,953 feet in elevation). The
cliffs in the foreground are typical of the red formations in
this area. |

Foggy
