Coach in Colorado History
I photographed the Class 3A high school boy's basketball championship
game. Dick Katte, the coach, had been at Denver Christian High
School for 45 years, and had won 771 games. It was the sixth time
his team had taken the state championship. I present to you a
tribute to an inspiring man who has made a difference in so many
lives. This photo was a Photo of the Day at Bestfoto

Snarls
I find it such a challenge to get behavioral shots of animals,
particularly when two or more are interacting. So I was delighted
to capture this moment between the lion male and female at the

In the winter of 2005, a large gathering of bald eagles arrived

Intimacy
After doing the standard realistic shots of a Christmas cactus,
I wanted to do some very soft, very close images. I spent hours
